I love to pause and reflect on the world around me. Music is always playing in our house, setting the rhythm of daily life. Beyond music, I find inspiration in art, literature, and thought-provoking conversations.
I have a deep appreciation for non-fiction—though it doesn’t exactly help me drift into colorful dreams, as reality is not always comforting. Still, I believe in the power of knowledge and stories to shape perspectives and inspire change.
I strongly believe that each individual has the ability to make a difference, even if it’s just by impacting a single life. I immerse myself in feminist literature and advocate for the rights of minorities. Sometimes, a simple conversation on an unexpected topic can be transformative for both people involved.
Here, I share links, books, movies, organizations, and events that have left a mark on me. These are the things that make me think, challenge my views, and fuel my belief in the power of dialogue and action.
Impactful books I have recently read:
"The crisis caravan" Lina Polman - unbelievable how the humanitarian aid is mismanaged!
"Z nienawiści do kobiet", "Polska odwraca oczy", "Czy Bóg wybaczy siostrze Bernadettcie?" Justyna Kopińska - (in Polish) Justyna describes not just the criminals, but she focuses on the society which knows what is happening, but decides not to react.
"Druga strona świata" Wojciech Jagielski
"Współczesna Wojna" Justyna Kopińska
"Submission" Michel Houellbecq
"Noblista z Nowolipek" Marek Górlikowski (definitely available in Polish)
"Black Flags: The rise of ISIS" Joby Warrick
"Like a mother" Angela Garbes
